Consisting of 12 members covering all of our member institutions and departments, a Strategic Coordination Cabinet was formed at the Budapest History Museum in February 2020. Now you can look behind the scenes of their workshops and discover what they achieved in the past months.

Known for its unmistakably nostalgic yet fresh and young atmosphere, Óbuda is hosting a "cultural night marathon" on 1 August from 4pm to midnight. Three of our member institutions, the Aquincum Museum, the Budapest Gallery and the Kiscell Museum welcome visitors on this evening with a wide range of exciting programs.

After four months of closure, the Castle Museum re-opens its exhibitions on 24 July 2020.

The museum held a briefing for its employees on the change of legal status of public employees working in public cultural institutions and public collections.

The member institutions of the Budapest History Museum offer a wide range of camps for children this summer as well, from gladiator training and fairy tale adventures to printing workshops and creative endeavors.

The Budapest Gallery’s upcoming exhibition, So Far, So Good, which examines our everyday anxieties, the compulsion to be productive, burnout from overwork, and our reactions to all three, will open after a delay of almost three months.

The Kiscell Museum and the Municipal Gallery are open again from 3 July 2020.

Featuring a selection of valuable items from our collections and exhibitions, the Budapest History Museum is presenting a poster exhibition, entitled 'Treasures of Budapest' at the stations of metro line M1 from 24 June.

The Aquincum Museum’s exhibition venues are re-opening to the public on Saturday, 20 June 2020. We are cancelling time-slots for visits and you can also buy your tickets at the cashier’s desk. On 23 June, we’re returning to our usual summer opening hours and ticket prices.
