On the weekend of the national holiday, from the 20th to the 22nd of August, the exhibitions of the Castle Museum can be visited free of charge. We will be open until 8pm on Friday, and until 10pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Due to the Jewish holidays in the fall, the Medieval Jewish Prayer House in Táncsics Mihály Street will be closed on certain days.

Due to the exhibition construction works on the museum's first floor, the Castle Museum's permanent city history exhibition is closed today, on 12 August.

This year, Óbuda's cultural institutions cooperate in organizing a special night for the second time. On the last night of July, the Budapest History Museum's member institutions in Óbuda will be open until midnight and welcome visitors with special guided tours, adult and children's programmes, temporary and permanent exhibitions.

Sándor Bodó DSc, ethnographer, museologist and university professor, passed away at the age of 78 in Veszprém, Hungary.

The logo competition of the Budapest History Museum has been successfully closed. Out of almost 100 entries, the jury voted Attila Kántor's design as the best, which will soon be presented to the public. We would like to thank all the participants for their work!
