CURATORIAL GUIDED TOUR IN THE EXHIBITION "MOUNTED ARCHERS FROM BUDAPEST'S PAST"

What kind of recurve bow did the peoples of the Great Steppe use? Did the Hungarians "forget" equestrian archery after they settled down in the Carpathian Basin? When did the bow become a sports device from a weapon? How can a bow be reconstructed based on archaeological finds? Our exhibition provides answers to these and many other questions.

Date: 22 October 2020, 2:00pm
Tour guides: Balázs Sudár and János B. Szabó, historians

Please note that the tour is in Hungarian.
